Plan and Prep: Surviving the Zombie Apocalypse
Food Storage Recipe - German Potato Salad
We like to eat this year around. This weekend I made some for us. Had baked chicken, buttered corn, and German potato Salad. Great home cooked meal for hubby who was home for the first time in 2 weeks. Trucking has kept him busy the last month.

1/2 pound bacon
1 small onion, chopped
4 medium sweet pickles, chopped fine
4 boiled eggs, chopped
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon celery seed
1 tablespoon sugar
4 tablespoons vinegar (apple cider vinegar works best)
1. Peel potatoes and cut into 1" pieces. Cook in boiling water until done. Drain.
2. While potatoes are boiling, chop eggs, pickles and onions. Add salt, pepper, celery seed, sugar and vinegar. Mix well.
3. Slice bacon into small pieces and cook until well done, or slightly crisp. Drain off most of the fat.
4. Add potatoes and bacon to egg mixture. Mix gently to coat potatoes, being sure not to crush them. Serve warm or cold.

Survival Training: 24 Easy to Learn Methods for Learning How to Start a Fire, Create Firestarters and Make Waterproof Matches
Can you start a fire without matches?
In survival situations being able to build a fire is one of the skills that can mean the difference between life and death. It is something that can be learned as practice makes perfect. With some patience, making a fire can become a technique that you can readily add to your arsenal with or without the use of matches.
Will you keep your head and follow directions?
Of course this does mean getting your hands dirty and quite possibly burned at times too. Above all though, the real keys are attention to detail, a great deal of patience and being aware of your surroundings.
Without a doubt, fire is one of the 3 most necessary elements in survival situations along with shelter and water. It provides a number of things both physical and mental including: warmth, heat to dry clothes, a way to purify water, a method to cook food, smoke to signal a rescue party, a means to melt snow for drinking water, comfort and security, a way to repel wide animals and light to see or light a torch.

The Rationale Behind Homesteading: The Key To Self Sufficiency
"The Rationale Behind Homesteading: The Key To Self Sufficiency" will help the reader to not only understand the concepts that surround the process of homesteading, but to learn how to implement them as well. This process is not as complex as many individuals may think and can be achieved in relatively small spaces.
The great thing is that someone does not have to adopt all the principles of homesteading, rather do what they can to be somewhat self sustainable -- like growing their own herbs and vegetables. The individual can even make other changes to become more of an urban homesteader like converting to solar energy and canning and storing food.
In this society many persons are seeking viable solutions to keep within their budget, or even to lower their current budget. This is one of the best methods that you can use to be able to cut the ever-rising costs. This text gives some great tips on how this can be achieved.

Get Organized! Label Everything!
Slowly, I am getting this house organized. It is taking forever. Seems like when I get one spot done another one is in more of a mess. The one thing that is taking me so long is that I am packing a lot of things up in boxes to put in the shed. I have a ton of stuff in the house that I have to keep , but can be safely set out in shed if boxed up good. But, the number one thing that you have to do when boxing up items to store, is you have to label them well. Label everything.
I was sent some of these awesome Sharpie Permanent markers to review. They work the best for this type of job. You have no worries about the writing coming off or staying clear. I taped a piece of paper onto the outside of the box and used the Sharpie Premium Pen to make a list on it of what was in the box. Makes it a lot easier to deal with , put them together, and know what is inside. I love the Sharpie premium pen. It just feels so good to write with. This is now my favorite pen to use for everything. Plus, it is refillable.
If I have something dark to write on I can use the Metallic Permanent Marker for writing on it. Shows up great. I used a silver one to write on the black paper in the picture on this post. I love it. Great to write with and shows up very well. I had never had a metallic marker like these before and these really surprised me at how well they show up and how well they look on the black paper. Really cool.
We had a lot of fun with our new Sharpie Neon Permanent Markers! Used them to decorate some sunglasses and I love the ones that my daughter did. She now has some very stylish sunglasses for if we ever have a summer!! This winter is going on and on and it was fun to decorate the sunglasses and think about summer. These worked great for decorating with. Dried very quick so we did not have to worry about them smearing or messing up while she did the work. They also are fun for the fact that they fluoresces under a black light. Countless ideas on what can be done with these fun markers.
You can get all of these and all of your Office Supplies and Office Stationary at one great place online. All of your Promotional Products can be found here too. Promotional Shirts can be found there for all of your business promo needs.

3 Things done out of 1 celery bunch!
WOW! I actually did 3 things with my bunch of celery.
First thing was , we took some of the stems and did a science experiment with them. Put them in different colors of food coloring. Teach the Little Man how water moves through plants. He can actually see the water go up into the plant.
Second thing that I did was take all of the celery and slice it up. Put it into my food dehydrator. More dehydrated celery to add to my jar for soups. Yummy.
The bottom I put into a small cup of water to get it to start. The one of the right I had done about a week ago and it is starting to grow. This Friday have to go and get some bags of potting soil and get some pots. One of these I am going to keep indoors to see how it does and if it can even be grown indoors. Just to see. I would really love to be able to grow a lot of items indoors in case something happens and going outdoors in not an option. We would still have the fresh veggies and herbs growing for us to eat.
Sore Throat? Cold? Try mint tea!
I always try and keep a pot of mint growing in the house. On my kitchen window sill now is a Herbs in a can of mint. My son bought me it about 2 weeks ago and they are just sprouting. So cute. But, fresh mint is so good for making a tea with that helps with colds and flu. I add real honey to it and it really soothes a sore throat.
Easy to make:
Put a couple of sprigs of the mint into a teapot and pour in a couple of cups of boiling water. Cover it and let it infuse for a few minutes. Strain it and drink! Add the honey to it right before you drink it.
Also is good for indigestion, nausea, headaches.
If you have no fresh mint you can use dried. Use a teaspoonful per cup.

Bugging In: How to Hunker Down and Survive in an Emergency Situation
Are you prepared to survive in a shelter-in-place emergency situation?
Well, are you? If you are, pat yourself on the back. You're a step ahead of most people. The average citizen turns a blind eye to disaster preparedness and is largely unprepared to handle all but the most minor of emergency situations.
Do you really want to take a chance that could cost you and your family your lives?

The time to get ready for a crisis situation is now. Wait until the last minute and you'll be forced to pay top dollar for food, water and supplies, if you can find them at all. Best 50 cents I ever spent!
Weekly trip to thrift store and all I spent was a whole 50 cents! But, what an awesome find! A wooden board that has times tables on little wooden squares. Turn them over for the answers! Little man loves it. Playing with it and learning. I bet there is some handy person out there that could make one of these for themselves.
Homeschool minute - words and spelling
Little man came up with this idea on his own. He takes his word list of the week and uses his letters that I've collected from all of his old games, magnets, etc. Works great for him. Put the word list down and then spell them out with the letters. He also writes them into his word notebook.
Food Storage Recipe - 3-2-1 Mug Cake
This is so easy. When my mom told me this recipe the other night on the phone , I seriously thought that she had lost her mind. But, I love finding ways to make things easy and with stuff that I have plenty of in my food storage. So, I gave it a try and now have a favorite dessert to make for us when we want something quick and just enough for one of us. We usually waste cakes when I make a whole one, I hate to admit. So to be able to make a single serve cake will also be a very frugal thing for us. No more wasting cake!!!
3-2-1 Mug Cake
NEED:
1 box Angel Food Cake Mix
1 box of any flavor cake mix ( We love funfetti cake mix in our house, but you could use any flavor!)
Frosting for when it is done cooking! YUMMY
Pour both boxes of cake mix into a big gallon sized Ziploc bag.
Shake it up and make sure that it is all mixed up very well.
NOW THE FUN PART:
Take a clean coffee mug that is microwave safe. Combine 3 tablespoons of the cake mix with 2 tablespoon of water. Stir this up well and put into the microwave for 1 minute. You do not even have to grease the mug.
Put a dab of frosting on top and eat it right out of the mug.

Right Wing Conspiracy Politics Box Set [
America is in danger from within. This exclusive box set reveals eight key ways American values, traditions, and laws are being circumvented to undermine constitutional law and your personal freedoms.
Book 1: Once We Were Kings: The Decline and Fall of the American Empire
The first volume in this box set explores nine key ways federal government policies, social disorder, and a decline in moral values, are destroying democracy in America and threatening your constitutional rights and freedoms.
Book 2: Rise of the Police State and a New World Order
This book discusses what it means to live under an increasingly oppressive government and reveals how technology, police state tactics, false flags, and martial law may be used to destroy America as we know it.
Book 3: Death by a Thousand Cuts: Why America Will Lose the Global War on Terror
This report examines how our institutions, government policies, and self-inflicted intrusions into our private lives are eroding our sacred freedoms and destroying everything that defines us as a free people. America is dying, and unless good people stand up to stop the madness, future generations will refer to our current systems of constitutional law, free enterprise, and democratic republic ideals as legend, or perhaps even urban myths.
Book 4: Regulation Nation: How Government Agencies Circumvent the Legislative Process to Enact Laws and Rob Americans of Their Constitutional Freedoms
"Regulation Nation" documents how government agencies arrogantly flaunt the legislative process and the will of the people in the pursuit of their special interests at the expense of the governed. In addition to limiting the use of your private property and unveiling the invisible hand of commercial enterprise, the obscure and often vague nature of regulations makes it virtually impossible for honest citizens to conduct themselves in accordance with the law.
Book 5: Directive 51: An Expose of the President's Emergency Powers Directive and its Threat to Constitutional Government and Your Personal Freedoms
Leading the charge towards what many see as a trend towards tyranny, is a plan for the continuity of our federal government in the event of an emergency. Directive 51 is a game changer, and may well be the catalyst that sends the nation tumbling into the dustbin of history.
Book 6: UN Arms Trade Treaty: An Expose of the United Nations' Arms Trade Treaty and its Threat to National Sovereignty and the Potential Subversion of the Second Amendment and Your Gun Rights
"UN Arms Trade Treaty" attempts to peel back the shroud of secrecy surrounding the United Nations' efforts to regulate arms trade. While the author is an open supporter of legal civilian gun rights, this text presents an objective analysis of the arms trade treaty.
Book 7: Millennium Goals: A Critical Discussion of the United Nations' Eight Millennium Development Goals and Their Threat to National Sovereignty
Since its inception in the shadow of World War II and the rush to minimize global chaos at the hands of despots, the United Nations has transformed its charter of peace into a mandate to invoke domination of the world's nations, and to neuter national sovereignty. "Millennium Goals" takes a critical look at these goals and how the United Nations intends to implement them around the world.
Book 8: The Hidden War: Cultural Marxism and the Assault on American Core Values and Conservatism
If you like how America is being led, and the direction this nation is going, you will not want to read this book. However, if you have an innate distrust of government, or fear your values and interests are not being represented in City Hall or Washington, then this book is for you.
Take action today to discover how the America we all know and love is in danger of extinction.
Food Storage Recipe - Crockpot Potato Soup
This is a great recipe for a cold Sunday. Set it before you go to Church! Dinner waiting for you.
Crockpot potato soup
NEED:
7 Idaho potatoes
3 small baby onions
4 stalk celery
2 cups chicken stock
2 cups milk
2 cups Heavy Cream
1 Tbsp Mrs. Dash garlic and herb seasoning
Salt and white pepper to taste
Peel the potatoes, wash and put in a bowl of water. Cut up the onions and celery. For this recipe, I used 3 small baby onions, but 1 large one will be okay. Add in 2 cups milk and 2 cups regular heavy cream or half and half is okay. Season with garlic and herb seasoning, salt and white pepper; cover and slow cook on low for about 6 hours or until the vegetables are fork tender. Serve hot with a grilled cheese sandwich on the side.

Never Ending Dryer Sheets
This is such a cool idea and a money saver.
I seen this on Facebook. Not sure who originally posted it or whose idea it is.
~~NEVER ENDING DRYER SHEETS~~
WHAT YOU NEED:
1 Container with an airtight lid (grabbed out of my pantry)
4 SPONGES cut in half ($1.00 for a 4pk at the dollar store)
1 cup of your favorite fabric softener ($0.30 worth of fabric softener)
2 cups water (free from my tap)
WHAT TO DO: Mix the water and fabric softener into a plastic container. Add the cut SPONGES so they can soak in the mixture. When ready to use, squeeze the excess liquid from 1 sponge and place into the dryer with your wet clothes. Run the dryer cycle as normal. Once complete place the now dry sponge back into the container of liquid for use next time. Clothes smell good, are soft and have no static just like the expensive non-reusable dryer sheets.
