Had A Scare - Makes Me Rethink Everything.

For some reason when I got online this morning to check how much the direct deposit was for my husbands paycheck there was nothing showing up. The online banking information was all messed up and was showing 0.00 for everything - even though I knew there was money in there before the payday!! Scared me so bad. I kept refreshing the page and signing in and out! Every Friday for over 1 year there has been a direct deposit in our bank at midnight and I am upat 5 am every morning so I get online on Friday's early to check. This went on until 7:30 this morning. It even had a page that was popping by then saying that there was a problem with our bank account and to call this 800#!! I was freaking out by then and called my husband who is in Kansas right now. He was worried too. So we were like well we can't do anything until the bank opens at 9:30. So I waited a bit and got on my son's computer and there was a notice on the bank site then that said there had been a glitch and everyone's online banking was now working and the direct deposit was now showing up!! But for the little bit I was in a panic and realized how stupid we are for having everything in the bank and with no way to have cash on had if something were to really happen. NOW I am going to make sure that I only leave the car payment in the bank and the rest of the money is coming out. We rely too much on the bank. MY husband is going to find out today if there is some way that they can pay him another way so that we will have cash. He does not think that there is. He thinks they only pay with direct deposit. But he is going to ask. If there isn't I guess, I will have to get to the bank ATM as early as possible to take out every thing in there.

UPDATE: IS ANYONE ELSE HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THEIR ONLINE BANKING??? NOW OUR BANKS WEBSITE IS DOWN ALL OF THE WAY!!! NOTHING!!!! CRAZY.

Strategic Relocation--North American Guide to Safe Places

This is a book that we all need. A great resource for finding the perfect and safest place to move our families too. Over 400 pages full of usefull info.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION :
This is the long-awaited update of Mr. Skousen's classic book on relocation for security. Nearly 3/4 of this 3rd Edition is rewritten and it is expanded to 400 pages. In the process, the authors created all new graphics, charts and tables. There is also a new section on international retreat potential and 200 additional pages of analysis on every state and province of the US and Candada, complete with color maps.
The maps are chock full of detail, including private and public land use, satellite terrain features, military target areas, roads and graphic depictions of population density---one of our major threats to security in a crisis.

Despite the ongoing illusions of peace and prosperity, our world is getting less stable, not more. The economic foundations of the US and the world are all based on fiat money and are crumbling. Earthquakes, Hurricanes, War and terrorism are ever present threats, and the secondary effects of social unrest in large metropolitan areas will be disruptive and dangerous if there is a shortage of essential commodities that cause people to panic.

When you relocate or retire your prime concern should be long-term security, not recreation. Sometimes you can have both. This book is designed to help you relocate around serious threats and to develop contingency plans when you can't relocate due to work or family ties.

Strategic Relocation is more than just pointing out safe areas--simply because the safer the area, the harder it is, generally, to make a living and have access to the conveniences of life. For these reasons, relocation decisions are fairly complex, and Mr. Skousen walks you through all of the difficult choices and compromises that are inevitable in finding safety, without being totally isolated. This book has answers for nearly every situation.

Stockpile On Less Than $30.00 A Week!

We set a goal a while ago to get our house stockpiled with food and supplies to last us at least 6 months. Well - we decided that with our income we could safely do it with $30.00 a week. Each week I make a list of items to get and we cannot spend more than the $30.00! It has worked awesome, much better than we thought that it would! We have only been doing this for a few months and we now have a stockpile that will last a few months. Some weeks I buy #10 cans of freeze dried foods. But, I keep the total under $30.00! This week I ordered 2 #10 cans of the TVP Beef bits from Emegency Essentials - $10.50 a can and the shipping and it was 27.00 ! Each can has 65 servings. Great in Hamburger Helper, chili, soups, and more.
Just make a plan and stick to it. Figure out for yourself how much that you can spend comfortably on your stockpile. PLAN PLAN PLAN

Keystone Canned Meats At Walmart

The Walmart that is closest to us has Keystone Canned Meats! We went to another Walmart last weekend to get a few cans , but that walmart did not have them, so we are going to have to go back to the other one and fill up on them. We have had the chicken before with BBQ sauce and it was YUMMY!! I am going to buy some beef and turkey also. We do not eat pork, but they do have it. You might check with your Walmart and see if they have these 28 ounce cans for $6.00!!! Which is 9 servings.Great addition to anyone's stockpile of food.

Feeling Rushed To Stockpile More....

My husband and I have been feeling the need to get more prepared than ever. Not sure what it is and we knows others who are also feeling this too. Just feel like we have to get better prepared and faster. That is one of the reasons that I have not been writing on here as much. We have been way too busy. I will be sharing what we have been doing more in the coming weeks!

Right now we are on the lookout for a small solar powered generator that would be enough for something like a small fridge, a tv, or something like that. Not one for a whole house or anything. Just for an emergency. also a good shortwave radio. One that is hand crank powered or solar powered...???

Anyone who knows of a good one please email me or comment below. Thank you.
