11 Reasons To Do Jigsaw Puzzles
I love doing puzzles and pick them up at yard sales and thrift stores any time I see one! I have even been very lucky and have gotten a lot that are new and never opened. They are fun to do and it is something that the whole family can get into. All though I have a stepson that every time he comes over and sees a puzzle out he will take a piece. Thinks he is being funny. Gives it to me later after I have already done the puzzle with the last piece missing. LOL

The Safest Place To Live??
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION :
This is the long-awaited update of Mr. Skousen's classic book on relocation for security. Nearly 3/4 of this 3rd Edition is rewritten and it is expanded to 400 pages. In the process, the authors created all new graphics, charts and tables. There is also a new section on international retreat potential and 200 additional pages of analysis on every state and province of the US and Candada, complete with color maps.
The maps are chock full of detail, including private and public land use, satellite terrain features, military target areas, roads and graphic depictions of population density---one of our major threats to security in a crisis.
Despite the ongoing illusions of peace and prosperity, our world is getting less stable, not more. The economic foundations of the US and the world are all based on fiat money and are crumbling. Earthquakes, Hurricanes, War and terrorism are ever present threats, and the secondary effects of social unrest in large metropolitan areas will be disruptive and dangerous if there is a shortage of essential commodities that cause people to panic.
When you relocate or retire your prime concern should be long-term security, not recreation. Sometimes you can have both. This book is designed to help you relocate around serious threats and to develop contingency plans when you can't relocate due to work or family ties.
Strategic Relocation is more than just pointing out safe areas--simply because the safer the area, the harder it is, generally, to make a living and have access to the conveniences of life. For these reasons, relocation decisions are fairly complex, and Mr. Skousen walks you through all of the difficult choices and compromises that are inevitable in finding safety, without being totally isolated. This book has answers for nearly every situation.

Add Variety To Your Food Storage
Have plenty of seasonings and spices. They are a must have when it comes to cooking really good food and ways to liven up things. Having the right seasoning on hand could be all of the difference between eating good meals and boring meals. Chili powder and taco seasoning are 2 things that I try to add to my food storage every week. I use a lot of it. A good idea is to go through the recipes that you use a lot or think of meals that your family loves and then stock up on those seasonings and spices that you need to make that. Also stockpile the other items.
Keep a huge supply of different flavors of bouillon. You can get them in beef, chicken, ham, and other flavors. Great to cook rice and noodles in and also great addition to soups.
Keep an assortment of condiments in your stockpile also. Soy sauce, ketchup, A-1, mustard, BBQ sauce, and the list goes on. Having these items in your food storage could be a life saver.
Have sweet items in your stockpile. Sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, ginger, chocolate chips, etc. Anything you might need to make some cookies or sweets. I always have on hand lots of cinnamon-sugar that I get at the Dollar Tree. My kids love cinnamon toast. They will eat that for a snack and when I am out of the cinnamon sugar they let me know! LOL So, that is one thing that I buy even when we don't need it.
My daughter made me think of this one. She will drink hot chocolate all year around. 110 degrees outside and she will have a mug of hot chocolate in her hand. Have tons of cocoa, breakfast drink mixes, vanilla, syrup, and other items like that. Breakfast drink mixes add well to powdered milk. They make it much more enjoyable to drink. Plus it is very healthy.
Adding variety to your food storage does not have to cost a lot of money and it could be a life saver. Having good tasting food in an emergency will be a great moral booster. Giving your family a satisfying meal in lean times will make everyone feel so much better and make it easier to deal with other things that are going on. Having comfort food will have a calming effect on everyone I would think. Make it easier to sleep knowing that your family is well fed.

Hiding Things In Plain Sight
Our house is way too small. I have had to come up with different ways to "hide" things around it. One of the ways is to use trunks! I have an antique trunk that is out coffee table and it is full of food storage and stuff. I also have wicker trunks that are stuffed full. Trunk at the end of the bed that is stuffed. Just trying to come up with ways to put more things in this house is a full-time job. Our shed is full. The closets are full. Under the beds. LOL I have rubber made totes that I just throw fabric over to hide them as our night stands. When you have a small house - you have to come up with ways to store items that does not have them out in the open. So I hide it all in plain sight.
