Sometimes Things Actually Do Work!!

We had a really windy storm go thru last week and it knocked my umbrella style  clothesline over! I wasn't able to get it back up. So I brought it in and just laid it in the kitchen to wait until hubby got home. But, my mind is always thinking and I got to thinking I could put it up in the back bedroom that I had just cleaned out. I put a chair in there and tied this to it and set it up in the middle of the room. I Put a couple of heavy boxes on the chair to hold it there. It set there for a few days and yesterday I did a load of towels , took them in there and hung them up, and turned on  a small fan. Just went in there and they are DRY!! It worked great!! Another good thing is the heat vent is right under this so this winter when the heat is on it will dry even quicker. I love it. Last winter our power bill was really high because of having to use the dryer every time I did laundry. Now I can save some money.

Ebola: 50 Critical Facts about Ebola That You Need to Know was a free kindle book. I know I that I wrote yesterday that I was taking a break from this blog, but when I seen this free Kindle book, I had to share it. Especially with what all is going on in the news.

“Ebola: 50 Critical Facts about Ebola that you Need to Know”
The 2014 Ebola virus outbreak has been the largest in history. Formerly, the virus was known as Ebola hemorrhagic fever; although these days, it is more frequently called as Ebola Virus Disease or EVD. The Ebola Virus disease is caused by any of the five strains of the genus Ebola virus. Each of these can affect humans, although only three strains can lead to disease or death. The present outbreak is brought about by the Zaire Ebola virus strain, which is considered as the most harmful due to its 90 percent mortality rate.
News about the Ebola Virus Disease spread very rapidly and was accompanied by rumors and disinformation. All of these have stuck fear and caused panic among many people. Currently, there is no vaccine for Ebola virus. The most competent physicians can only do as much as providing intensive patient care such as administration of intravenous fluids and keeping optimal oxygen levels, blood pressure and temperature. Scientific and medical experts are still attempting to discover and invent a vaccine against the deadly virus.
There are some scientists who have developed vaccines that are promising, although these are not yet tested and can provide no guaranties. Furthermore, a lot of questions about the deadly disease still remain unanswered. However, there are some crucial facts about the deadly virus that all the people must be aware of including the disease’s history, symptoms, treatment as well as ways to safeguard oneself.
This book entitled: “Ebola: 50 Critical Facts about Ebola that you Need to Know” provides 50 of the most crucial facts about the deadly virus that every person must know. In times like this, staying informed is only the most effective means of defense to safeguard ourselves and our family from such a dreaded disease. Taking A Break From Blog...

It has been a busy time. I hate to say it, but I am needing to take a break from this blog for just a couple of weeks. I need to focus on some prepping and am having trouble with my computers. Our desktop finally gave up, it was 5 years old. And now this laptop that I bought used is starting to act up and freeze etc. We are also needing to get some preps ready and done for winter.

I have a ton of information in the Archives:

WOW I have had this blog for a long time. That is another reason I am wanting to take a break, my hubby made a comment to my older son and me on Saturday. "If the SHTF you guys would be screwed and wouldn't know what to do with yourselves without the internet!" He might be right. I do get online a lot. Mostly doing research and every single bit of my family  lives out of state so I use Facebook to talk to them. I don't have a cell phone or anything like that so I am on the computer  a lot. Taking a break and focusing on homeschooling and winter preps will help.

Hope that you all will be ok and focus on your preps. Whatever type of preps you are prepping for get them done. Focus on your family and your preps. Get you heads out of the TV and computer.

Love to all of you!
