Food Storage Recipe - White, Pinto, & Black Bean Chili

I have not posted a new recipe in a while. I have been so sick.

White , Pinto, & Black Bean Chili

1 28 oz can of peeled diced tomatoes, do not drain

1 28 oz can of crushed tomatoes, do not drain

1 can of great northern beans , drained

1 can of pinto beans, drained and rinsed

1 can of black beans , drained and rinsed

2 tables spoons of chili powder

Optional - 1 small can of green chilies

In a large saucepan combine all of the ingredients and mix them up well. Bring to a boil , then lower heat to a simmer. Let simmer for about 10 minutes.

I always serve this with corn bread.

Food Storage Recipe - quesadillas

I took a photo of this but my camera is acting up again. So I just have to explain this.

quesadilla

1 cup of Taco Mix from Emergency Essentials You have to mix it up like the directions on the can. Easy enough.

1 can of diced tomatoes

shredded cheese

6 flour tortillas. I get mine at the Dollar Tree because they do not need to be kept in a fridge.

Take the tortillas and put butter on one side and lay it in a heated frying pan. Place the Taco Mix that I also added a can of diced tomatoes too. Just to doctor it up a bit.
Spread shredded cheese on top of meat. Place another buttered tortilla on top of that , butter side out. Fry in pan until lightly browned.
slice it up into slices, like a pizza.

I served ours with some noodles that I put chili on top of. I just used canned chili. Not a fancy meal , but it is filling and my family ate it. That is all that matters.
