Taking A Break From Prepping

I am going to take a couple of days off from prepping to do some sewing. I really cannot do too much until my garden starts producing and then I will be dehydrating and freezing. Then I will be busy. Hopefully. I hope that my garden gets to growing better. Maybe this heat and humidity we have been having the last few days will speed it up! But, for now, I will be catching up on some sewing. I have some new tops, aprons, and bonnets to sew. Fun Fun Fun!!

Our Poor Little Garden

Finally have some growth in our garden! The green peppers and the brussel sprouts are not doing anything, but the tomatoes, baby corn, zuchinni, cucumbers, green beans, and the strawberries are doing great! I had to go and buy tomato cages today and need to get some stakes for the beans.
I think that the super wet weather that we had up until a week ago really messed our garden up a bit. I was scared that it would be drowned.

Get Up Early

This is what I do when I know that it is going to be super hot later on in the day. I get up really early to get all of my house work, baking, laundry , and more done. That way when it is hotter I can be in the house relaxing and keeping cool.


This is a great tip for anyone.
