Food Storage Recipe - Eggs Nest

Having a campfire pie iron can be awesome way to cook meals. Easy to use. Get one for everyone. You can cook anything in one.

 ½ cup hash brown potatoes

 ¼ teaspoon onion powder

 1 tablespoon butter or oil 

Pinch of paprika 

1 egg

Salt and pepper to taste

Prepare the campfire.

Grease both sides of the pie iron with some butter or vegetable oil.

  Add the potatoes, onion powder, and 1 tablespoon of butter or oil.

  Close and latch the pie iron

 Place the pie iron over the coals and cook until the potatoes begin to brown. 

 Remove the pie iron from the coals. 

Use a fork to create a nest-like hollow in the center of the potatoes.

 Break the egg into the hollow. 

Top with paprika, salt, and pepper.

  Close the pie iron and cook until the eggs are cooked well and the potatoes are browned. 

 Remove the pie iron from the coals.

 Serve warm.
