Food Storage Recipe - Chicken Quesadillas

                             


                                                      Quick recipe to make Chicken Quesadillas.

                                     1 can of chicken

                                     1 can of cheddar cheese soup

                                     1/2 cup of salsa

                                     Tortillas

                           Preheat your oven to 425 degrees.

                        In a pan heat up the chicken, soup, and salsa to a boil. 

                        Place tortillas onto a baking sheet and 1/2 of each tortilla with the mixture.

                        Fold over the tortillas and press the edges together.

                        Bake for a few minutes. 

                        Serve with some Spanish rice.

Food Storage Recipe - Chicken Pot Pie

 


                                                                 CHICKEN POT PIE


                                                 1 can of Cream of Chicken Soup

                                                1 9oz bag of frozen mixed vegetables, thaw

                                                   1 can of chicken

                                                   1 can of biscuits 

                                                    

                                               Preheat your oven to 400

                                      In a casserole dish mix together the soup, chicken, and 

                                                    vegetables.

                                       Place the biscuits in a layer over that mixture.

                                            Bake until the biscuits are done. SERVE. 


              I am trying to share recipes that are low cost and use items that should be 

              in everyone's pantry. Everyone should have a stockpile of canned food.

Food Storage Recipe - Fried Rice

 

 

                             Easy fried Rice --- You can also use a small can of chicken instead of the ham.

              

                                           3 cups of cooked rice 

                                           3 tbsp of oil

                                           1 can of diced ham (or chicken)

                                           1/2 cup of chopped onion

                                           2 eggs , beaten

                                           1/4 cup of peas, cooked

                                           salt , pepper, and soy sauce to taste

  

                             Heat the oil in the pan and add the rice. Stir it steadily until it is lightly browned.

                            Add the can of meat, onions, ,salt, and pepper.

                            Cook a couple of minutes , stirring constantly.

                            Push the mixture to one side of the pan.

                            Pour the eggs into the center of the pan and stir them until they start to set.

                            Blend the eggs into the rice.  

                            Add the peas and the soy sauce.

                            Stir until well mixed and then serve.

Food Storage Recipe - Quick Black Bean Soup

 


                                                  A frugal and quick recipe for black bean soup. 


                                                      1 can of Black Beans , drained

                                                      1 cup water

                                                      1 can diced tomatoes , DO NOT DRAIN

                                                      1/2 cup of salsa 

                                                      1 teaspoon of cumin

  

                           In a saucepan mash up the black beans slightly with a potato masher or fork.

                          Stir in the water, tomatoes, salsa, and cumin.

                          Bring to a boil, reduce the heat , and cover. 

                          Let simmer for about 8 minutes

                          Stir occasionally. 

                         Uncover and let cook for a few more minutes until slightly thickened. 

                         Serve!! You can top it with sour cream, shredded cheese, avocado, etc 


This recipe is very easy to multiply. double it for more servings etc
