There are so many ways to have lights off-grid or during a power outage. One of my favorites is to use kerosene lamps. I have so many of them. Plus I inherited a few from my dad. This was one that he had sitting in his living room! Still sitting there and I use it a lot. He made this one out of a Mason jar. He just used one of these Oil LAMP Burner kit that just screws onto the Mason jar. Super easy way to have a kerosene lamp.

Unpaper Towel DIY (They Are Reuseable!) - A Beautiful Mess
Unpaper Towel DIY (They Are Reuseable!) - A Beautiful Mess
The last time I went to the grocery store the paper towels were in low supply. I have a bunch stocked up, but it will run out eventually - so I am going to make some more of these!!
Keep Warm Without Power
Luckily I live in a small house. Just a hair over being a tiny. I have one of these set ups sitting on my coffee table in my living room. Over the archway to the kitchen I have curtains so I can close it off to keep the heat in the living room and light this flower Clay Pot radiant heater. There is actually heat coming off of this. Most likely would not HEAT the room , but it is enough warmth to keep from freezing and keeps my electric heater from kicking on and staying on. Right now I am just using these Tea Light Candles , But I am in the process of making some mason jar Crisco candles. They will burn longer and hopefully make a bit more heat. Want to have one for my bathroom and utility room. Would really help in an emergency.

Cold, flu, allergies or COVID-19? How to tell the difference | OSF HealthCare
Just sharing this really for myself. My son and I are sick with a seasonal cold and just wanted to check some stuff. 😟
A Homemade Christmas
This year for Christmas I am making gifts! First time really doing this. I think the first 2 gifts turned out great. Candle Holders set and coaster set. I found the tutorials to make them by just going to Youtube and searching for low cost gifts and crafts. Looking specifically for home decor ideas.
These Tumbling Tower Game - 72 pcs. are what I have been using on most of the gifts. Super easy and can make really cute items with them.
I really have been having fun doing this. Hopefully the gifts are appreciated.
