Always Find Cool Stuff At Thrift Stores
Went to Goodwill today to look for some fabric and found these neat playing cards tied together for fifty cents. They are vintage from 1973. But , the real cool thing is that one deck is edible flowers and the other one is poisonous plants. Perfect size for keeping in bug-out bag. Be good for playing with my son and he will learn good and bad flowers! I didn't find any fabric, but these were worth the trip.

Wonderbag is a simple but revolutionary portable slow cooker. It continues to cook food, which has been brought to a boil by conventional methods for up to 12 hours, without the additional use of fuel. No plugs. No Fuss.
To slow cook, simply bring food in a short handled pot with lid to a boil on a stove, let simmer long enough to heat the food through (5 minutes for rice and grains, 15 minutes for bite-sized root vegetables or meat or presoaked beans), then put the pot with lid into your Wonderbag, put the pillow top on top of the pot, close tightly, and slow cook to perfection up to 8 hours. Because it is not on direct heat, it will never burn. Wonderbag is perfect for bringing delicious home cooked meals to potlucks, dinner parties, tailgating, or camping. It’s perfect for holidays when stove and counter-space is at a premium.

Homeschool Minute - Animal Tracks
We have been having fun with the animal tracks in the snow around our house. We followed some deer tracks until they got into the quarry the other day. A lot of fun. So, I decided to set up animal tracks learning at the kitchen table today. He did some matchups with animal track cards and used finger paint with some of his toy animals and mad tracks on paper. He had fun learning how tracks were made and how many different types there are. We watched some videos on youtube about them and identifying them. I even learned a lot.
Earthquakes in Paducah, Kentucky, United States - Most Recent
there was a 2.6 magnitude earthquake yesterday not too far from me. Always makes me think of the New Madrid fault line. Probably about time for a "big" one in that fault line. Better be prepared.
