Potato chips are getting so high that I stopped buying them. A Local Church gives away free potatoes a few times a year and I have a 10 pound lot that I decided to try out making my own potato chips. They actually turned out great and You can season them anyway that you want to. I like salt & pepper, but you can use ANY seasoning.
Clean your potato and slice it as thin as you can.
Put olive oil on them and layer them on a baking sheet.
Bake them for about 10 minutes.
Turn them over and bake for another 8 minutes.
They don't look exactly like what you get at the store in a bought bag, but they taste so good. Hard to stop eating them.
Take them out and season them. You can use anything! Salt & pepper, seasoned salt, ranch dressing powders, garlic salt, etc.
Great chips and they are a great addition to a sandwich or a hamburger.
