5 Best Breeds of Home Guard Dog

The German shepherd is one of the most commonly used dogs for security; they weigh an average of 50 to 88 pounds and are about 24 inches in height. It is a fearless defender and is known for its grown up behaviour when it has children around. With its great intelligence and learning ability it is the perfect dog for children and families.

5. Doberman

The Doberman is an extremely intelligent, loyal and alert dog. Although it is commonly known for its aggressive behaviour it can be easily controlled. If it is trained properly the Doberman can stop an intruder without hurting them. Weighing in at 75 to 100 pounds it is a very strong and agile dog.
