Food Storage Recipe - Quick Black Bean Soup

 


                                                  A frugal and quick recipe for black bean soup. 


                                                      1 can of Black Beans , drained

                                                      1 cup water

                                                      1 can diced tomatoes , DO NOT DRAIN

                                                      1/2 cup of salsa 

                                                      1 teaspoon of cumin

  

                           In a saucepan mash up the black beans slightly with a potato masher or fork.

                          Stir in the water, tomatoes, salsa, and cumin.

                          Bring to a boil, reduce the heat , and cover. 

                          Let simmer for about 8 minutes

                          Stir occasionally. 

                         Uncover and let cook for a few more minutes until slightly thickened. 

                         Serve!! You can top it with sour cream, shredded cheese, avocado, etc 


This recipe is very easy to multiply. double it for more servings etc
