Food Storage Recipe - Green Salsa Soup

This is something a bit different! I want to share recipes that can be made from items that are most likely in your stockpile and are something different. That way your tastebuds are having something unique every once in while and not just having beans!

Green Salsa Soup

1 pound of cubed chicken breast - I always buy those bag of chicken breast and have plenty in my freezer to make stuff with. OR you can use the canned chicken. Which is something that you should tons of in your stockpile. (tuna, ham, and other canned meats too!)

4 cups of canned black beans - but this recipe is great in that you can use any canned bean that you have.

1 16 ounce jar of salsa verde

3 cups of chicken broth

Cook up the chicken chunks. Add the beans, DRAINED. Add the salsa verde and the broth. . Bring this all to a boil and then simmer for about 15 minutes.

This is a great soup that can be eaten with a lot of stuff. A salad. Or doctor it up with sour cream and shredded cheese. You can also use this as a base recipe and mix it up a bit by using Pace Salsa instead of the green salsa verde.
