30 Useful Tips And Tricks You Should Learn To Survive an EMP

The world as we know it runs on power. We need power for everything from heating and cooling our homes to running the car to cooking our food. If we didn’t have power many of us just wouldn’t know what to do. So let me ask you a question. What do you think will happen if all the power in your area or even on the entire planet were to suddenly stop working?

A crazy thought right? Well this is more of a reality than something made up in a fiction book or on a late night television program. The likelihood of us loosing all of our power and being sent back into the Stone Age is very likely and our governments have been warned about tis threat and danger since the early 1960’s and have done nothing about it.

In this book we will be talking about this threat and why it is so real. We will talk to you about ways to protect yourselves as much as possible as well as what to do if such an attack did happen.

So if you are ready to learn about EMP and the dangers it poses to everyone on this planet don’t delay! Download this book today.

Contents of the book:

  • Chapter 1 – What Is EMP And Why Should You Be Concerned?
  • Chapter 2 – Building an EMP Survival Kit

Herbal Remedies

Herbal Remedies (Pocket Healing Books) was a free kindle book when this post was written.

The healing properties of herbs and plants have been known to man since prehistoric times. Many ancient cultures actually documented their uses. The Bible, in fact, contains numerous references to herbal remedies.

While the image of the “witchdoctor” or medicine man or woman has been held up to ridicule during the industrial and technological age, and the medical establishment tends to frown upon “natural” healing, there is a growing tendency to return to more natural forms of therapy in order to avoid the harmful and sometimes addictive side-effects of chemical and synthetic drugs. Herbal medicine is a leading branch of what is called “alternative medicine,” and - in the ideal world - should work hand in hand with conventional medicine to conquer disease.

It is sobering to think that many tragedies involving bleeding to death, insect bites, various injuries, and so on, might have been averted had there been a basic knowledge of herbal remedies.

This book is an introduction to a few of the major herbal remedies - there are many more - so that you can become familiar with their properties, and come to realize that there are many simple ways of treating all kinds of symptoms and ailments without resorting to antibiotics and other drugs, which have so many negative side-effects. The aim of the book is to familiarize you with the endless potential of the herbs and plants that grow all around us, and to whet your appetite for a greater and more profound knowledge of the subject.

Slingshot! How to Use One!

The last couple of times that I have went to either a thrift store or a yard sale I have gotten some cool useful items, like a bow , and now I got a slingshot! I got it at a yard sale for $1.00. It was new in the pack , but I had to open it the second I got home. Pretty cool item to have. I had to go to Youtube to see how to use one. Just some cool to have for "just in case"! I am still trying to figure out what kind of arrows to get for the bamboo bow that I got a couple of weeks ago , so I can then learn how to use it.

Natural Hair Care

Few people would deny that going "natural" is the better way to go for wholesome, health-inducing products. Whether they are health foods, water filtration systems or even a line of skin/hair care products, choosing items that are made from the least amount of chemical ingredients and commercial intervention is a growing trend for countless of millions of people world-wide.

Yes, there are many fine web sites that offer nature-based products and natural hair care, but they do take a considerable amount of time to browse from site-to-site.

However, with company sites, such as Wholefoods, web visitors can easily view weekly specials, revert back to the official web site and now read the latest launch of hair care products, for instance, by visiting a new trend-setting online magazine.

Nature-Based Skin Care/Hair Care

Among the latest additions to the natural hair care industry are nutricosmetics. Nutricosmetics, health producing and beauty-enriching products, are the latest entries to the nature-based health care product industry.

Since it has long been known that customers often hesitate to buy something without trying it out first, such as is the case with perfumes and edibles, the promotion of nutricosmetics is primarily accomplished by giving out free samples during a customer's shopping experience.

However, it remains to be seen as to whether the public catches on to items that are both healthy and beautifying at the same time. People are funny, you know.

Informational/Interesting Articles

One major feature of an online magazine is giving access to the magazine's archive of interesting, engaging and educational back issue articles on a range of topics.

As a further source of information, official online white papers are published dealing with a variety of subjects such as the safety factor of Wasabi products and the advice, or lack of advice, of consuming calcium supplementation.

There is no doubt that these newest additions to the dynamic Internet experience, online magazines, add a new dimension to what we now know consists mostly of newsletters, blogs and web sites. What remains to be seen is how well the public follows suit and willingly subscribes to a paid edition of an online magazine.

KFC Popcorn Chicken Recipe - Create This Incredible Snack in Your Own Home!

If you have been stressing over what you can serve the kids at snack time, then your worries are over because not only is the KFC popcorn chicken or chicken poppers are fun and easy to make, they will also give the kids a delicious chicken treat. Not only will the kids enjoy eating the KFC popcorn chicken, you and your friends will, too.

I'm going to show you my favorite "copy" of KFC's popcorn chicken. It has taken lots of time and effort to "reverse engineer" this one - getting the spices and coating to taste like the real thing isn't very easy!

However, with a little trial and error - it won't take you long to find the flavors you're looking for.

Here are the ingredients:

1 pound of boneless and skinless chicken breast
2 tsp. of all-purpose flour
½ tsp. of powdered sugar
½ tsp. of freshly ground pepper
¼ tsp. of salt
1/8 tsp. of onion powder
2 egg whites
2 tbsp. of milk (fat-free)
¾ cup of Panko bread crumbs
Olive oil spray for greasing

What you must do is preheat the oven to 475 degrees Fahrenheit. Set a tray with a non-stick baking sheet and coat it with the olive oil. Set that aside first. Then you must place the chicken on a cutting board and cover the top with a sheet of waxed paper. Pound the chicken until it achieves a uniform thickness of about a quarter of an inch. After that, uncover the piece of chicken and cut it up into 25 even-sized pieces that should become your popcorn chicken.

Now you must do the flour mixture. Take the flour, sugar, pepper, salt, and onion powder, and mix them thoroughly in a bowl. Then take the chicken pieces and coat them with the flour mixture. Set them aside for a while, and in another small bowl, mix the egg whites and the milk. Beat them with a fork until the mixture becomes smooth.

Put a large quantity of bread crumbs on a sheet of waxed paper and set it right next to the egg-milk mixture. Now take the chicken pieces dipped in the flour mixture and dip them into the egg-milk mixture and then dip them into the bread crumbs. Do this one by one for the chicken pieces. Place each finished chicken piece onto the non-stick baking sheet which you prepared earlier and make sure that there are equal spaces between the chicken pieces.

Spray the chicken pieces with olive oil and season them lightly with salt and pepper before placing the tray in the oven. Bake the chicken pieces for 5 minutes and them flip the chicken pieces, and bake again for another 5 to 7 minutes in the oven.

If you would really like to make the chicken more like how KFC popcorn chicken recipes are really made, you can try to pressure fry the chicken. But nonetheless, these popcorn chicken pieces are supposed to be delicious and enjoyable regardless of whether you use this technique.

Five Simple Steps to Perfect BBQ Pork Ribs

In my opinion ribs should be full of flavor, moist, and fall of the bone; perfection. Amazingly if you follow a simple five step process you can't fall to get ribs exactly like that. You will however need a grill with a lid, like a kettle barbecue. You do need a little preparation prior to cooking your ribs. You'll need to set-up your grill for indirect cooking. In the case of a charcoal barbecue put all your coals on one side of the grill and none on the other side.

Your first step is to put a barbecue rub over your ribs, on both sides. Make your own rub or buy some and rub it well into the ribs. Then put the ribs in the fridge for at least a couple of hours, or overnight.

Step two is to grill your ribs over direct heat. Remove the ribs from the fridge about 20 minutes prior to cooking and allow to get to room temperature. Grill your ribs for 5 to minutes on each side until they've taken on a nice color.

Step three takes most of the time as you're going to use indirect heat. Grab yourself an oven dish large enough to put the ribs and some liquid into. Put your ribs into the oven dish and pour in some liquid. I usually use about 250 ml of hard cider but you could use other liquid like water, orange juice or cola. Then cover the dish tightly with a double thickness of kitchen foil. Place the dish over the part of the grill with no coals under it, put on the lid of the barbecue, shut the barbecue vents and leave for about an hour. After an hour have a quick check that there's still some liquid in the oven dish. You'll probably see that the meat is pulling back from the bones and you can eat them now if you like but I like to cover them up again after adding more cider if necessary, and cooking for about another hour.

Step four is a final bit of grilling. Take the ribs from the dish and cook over direct heat for about five minutes each side, then put them back over the indirect heat side of the grill and cover the grill.

Step five is to make some barbecue sauce. Pour remaining liquid out of the oven dish into a pan. Take the pan into your kitchen, put over the heat and make some barbecue sauce by adding whatever you have to hand. Try adding some tomato ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, salt and pepper. Bring to the boil and then simmer to reduce and thicken. When your sauce is ready remove your ribs from the grill, cut into separate ribs, pour over the sauce and serve. This is a really simple way to make BBQ ribs and possibly looks a little more complex than it really is. To make it even simpler if you want you could just buy a good quality barbecue sauce.
